Dr. Judith Kamoto is a Senior Lecturer at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources in Lilongwe, Malawi (http//www.luanar.ac.mw). Her work is on understanding the relationship between humans and forest -agroecosystems. Her research work focuses on the governance of natural resources, gender, climate change, agroforestry, energy, fire management, and community-based natural resources management. Her collaborative research work includes energy security for sustainable livelihoods; above and below ground carbon estimations, community-based fire management, achieving equitable benefits from sustainable agriculture intensification, and forest landscape restoration. Her collaborative research has been with the Centre for International Forest Research (CIFOR) on Adaptive Collaborative Management of forests-still part of this grouping, currently collaborating with Michigan State University and IITA on Energy and Gender research. Dr. Judith Kamoto is a reviewer/Guest editor of peer-reviewed Journals such as Commonwealth Review and Agroforestry Systems.
